About DayFacts
DayFacts is a curiosity-driven website that helps you browse a date-based collection of historical events, births, and deaths. It is designed for discovery, not as a comprehensive historical record, academic publication, or primary-source archive.
How It Works
The site has a page for each of the 366 calendar dates. Each page shows the entries currently recorded for that month and day. You can also browse by category, search the collection, or open a randomly selected entry.
Sources and Limitations
Published entries currently include a reader-facing reference to English Wikipedia. That reference is a useful starting point, but it is not proof that DayFacts independently verified every statement. The collection is selective, its coverage is uneven, and errors or omissions may remain.
Some collection and drafting tasks can use automated tools. Structural validation checks required fields and date/category consistency; it does not establish factual accuracy. Read our Editorial, Sourcing & Corrections Policy for the full methodology, current provenance limits, and correction instructions.
